Link-lives.dk moved to the Danish National Archives

Søgesiden ligner sig selv og funktionerne er de samme.

The Link-Lives.dk website has, as of December 9, 2024, moved to the Danish National Archives (Rigsarkivet). Link-Lives.dk/soeg is one of the most important outcomes of the Link-Lives research project. For nearly six fruitful years, the project has provided a framework for a productive collaboration between the Copenhagen City Archives, the Danish National Archives, and the University of Copenhagen. The Link-Lives research project will conclude in the summer of 2025. Therefore, we are delighted to announce that, with the transfer of the website, the Danish National Archives will ensure that Link-Lives’ data can continue to thrive, be updated, and remain accessible for everyone to search. A heartfelt thank you to all who have contributed to the research and development of the Link-Lives project, and an extra special thanks to the team from the Copenhagen City Archives for their excellent collaboration on the website.

The website has been moved to the Danish National Archives without changing its appearance, so previous users will immediately recognize it. Using the feedback function and downloading, as before, requires logging in. You can use your old username, if you have one – you just need to reset your password by clicking “Har du glemt dit kodeord?” (forgot password) on the login page. Please also note that the privacy policy and the terms and conditions for user participation have been updated. Everything else (we hope) will remain the same. In the spring of 2025, the plan is to expand with more links and four new censuses (1890, 1911, 1916, and 1921), which are nearly ready.

Best regards,
Barbara Revuelta-Eugercios and Anne Løkke,
Project Leaders of Link-Lives
